The First Amendment and the separation of church and state

The First Amendment established a separation of church and state but the interpretation of that separation continues to spark heated, passionate debate.
In our first panel discussion of the week, Faith and Politics, brought Dr. H. Stephen Shoemaker, Bishop Tonyia Rawls, and Dr. Racelle Weiman together on our stage to discuss the difference in faith and religion, in the realm of American politics.
With a look at religious separation through history, an explanation is developed about how and why the separation has to remain constant and valued.
